Do you believe in the transformative power of education?

At Pivot, we ensure you have the time and support to shape futures.

Join our mission to inspire and empower learners, and make a lasting impact on their lives.

At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support young people from Key Stages 2 – 5 who have been excluded, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a significant difference to the lives of our complex and challenging learners, many of whom come to us with developmental trauma.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, resilient and experienced SENCo to join our Pivot 6 team. Our Pivot 6 provision offers specialist support for KS4 learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. Our aim is to prepare learners academically and socially so they may transition back into mainstream school and be successful. Our provision, and therefore the role, is currently based over two sites, in Bradley, Huddersfield and Wibsey, Bradford; travel between the two sites is approx. 15 minutes.

As the SENCo, you will be responsible for the delivery and development of the SEN provision at Pivot 6 and for the implementation of our SEND policy. You will work closely with the wider SEN team at Pivot Kirklees and the Pivot Strategic Lead for SEN & Inclusion. The successful candidate will be part of the Senior Team at Pivot 6 and as such will take a lead role in the development and management of staff, undertaking comprehensive quality assurance. This role would suit an experienced classroom practitioner who has previously supported in developing curriculum to ensure unmet needs are addressed.

Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change the lives of our learners and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.

Interviews:        Thursday 19 June 2025

We are committed to safeguarding our young people and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check and appropriate referencing.

During the shortlisting process, Pivot will carry out an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of its due diligence.
