We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our new Pivot 6 provision in Bradford.

Our Pivot 6 provision offers specialist support for KS3 & 4 learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. Our aim in Pivot 6 is to support learners academically and socially to prepare them for transition back into mainstream school. Our curriculum offer is focused on developing the whole learner, working with their interests to engage them in education in order for them to feel successful and to take positive steps in their journey to adulthood and beyond.

What you will do:

  • Work to support learners in a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
  • Play a key part in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting learners to achieve positive outcome both academically and socially.
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum, create inclusive and stimulating learning experiences, and work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe, supportive and purposeful environment where all learners can thrive.
  • Adapt your approach to meet individual needs, ensuring all learners are supported to reach their full potential.
  • Build strong relationships with learners, families and colleagues.

We are looking for someone with experience teaching across age groups and differing needs, who has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and a commitment to inclusive education. You will be a confident communicator, able to manage behaviour positively, work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs.

Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change the lives of our learners and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.

We offer:

  • A supportive and forward-thinking school culture
  • Ongoing professional development and support for relevant qualifications
  • Focus on wellbeing for all & access to employee assistance programmes
  • Flexible working arrangements and early finish Fridays
  • Further additional benefits, including blue light card entitlement, eye-test reimbursement, financial wellbeing service, work mobile phone and death in service benefit
