Do you believe in the transformative power of education?
Join our mission to inspire and empower young people, making a lasting impact on their lives.
At Pivot we believe children deserve better. We are a specialist independent provision with sites in Kirklees, Wakefield, Leeds and Bradford. In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 2 – 5 for whom mainstream education is simply not working, those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement, or those who have been excluded from school. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some complex and challenging learners, many of whom come to us with some traumatic backgrounds.
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching and Learning Lead to join our Leeds provision.
The postholder will undertake a balanced role, with 50% of their time dedicated to teaching duties and 50% to Teaching & Learning Lead responsibilities, supporting and enhancing the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
At Pivot Leeds, our curriculum offer is focused on developing the whole learner, working with their interests to engage them in education and supporting them to take positive steps in their journey to adulthood and beyond. We have our Venture provision for learners with Autism, complex social interaction needs, emotional challenges and other learning needs. Our nurture provision is for those that require a very bespoke offer tailored to their needs, abilities and interests. Our LINKS provision is for learners who have emotional based school anxiety, and our Elevate provision is for academically able learners with social, communication and interactive difficulties.
What you will do:
We are looking for an inspiring and driven teaching professional with a passion for inclusive education and a proven ability to lead and develop others. You will be a confident and experienced teacher, ideally with specialist SEMH experience, who can coach colleagues, drive high standards and create engaging learning experiences for all learners. As a natural leader and strong communicator, you will be comfortable working as part of the senior leadership team, building positive relationships with staff, learners and families. Resilient, organised and committed to safeguarding, you will share our ambition to deliver exceptional outcomes and transform the educational experience for every learner.
Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change the lives of our learners and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.
