We are committed to safeguarding our young people and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check and appropriate referencing. It is an offence to apply for a role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
During the shortlisting process, Pivot will carry out an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of its due diligence.
Should you be shortlisted for an interview, you are required to disclose details of cautions and convictions and you will be sent a self-disclosure form to do this. However, there are some exemptions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. To understand what you should disclose in your application form, please read the attached flowcharts.
Our Safer Recruitment Policy, which also includes details on the employment of ex-offenders can be found here.
