At Pivot we believe learners deserve better. We are a specialist independent provision with sites in Kirklees, Wakefield, Bradford and Leeds. In our academies we teach and support learners from Key Stages 1 – 5 who have been excluded from school or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to the lives of complex and challenging learners.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant SENCo to join our team.
This role is based across multiple sites in West Yorkshire, with regular travel between sites (Huddersfield, Bradford and Wakefield). A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
Pivot Academy Kirklees provides educational and therapeutic support for learners who have complex sensory, communication and executive function challenges who may be supported by an EHCP. The Pivot Outreach Programme (POP) aims to re-engage learners with social, emotional and mental health needs who may have been out of education for some time. St Thomas Garden’s is a specialist primary provision, designed to support young learners with special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health, communication and complex needs. Our Pivot 6 provision offers specialist support for KS3 & 4 learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school.
What you will do:
We are looking for a highly organised and collaborative professional with experience supporting learners with SEND and a strong understanding of inclusive education. With excellent communication skills, resilience and a commitment to safeguarding and equity, you will play a key role in supporting effective SEND provision and improving outcomes for learners.
